Position: HR Generalist

Reports to: HR Manager

Location: Norcross, GA or Remote

Schedule: Full Time

Job Summary:

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management to acquire skilled talent. This position carries out responsibilities across all areas of HR to include employee relations, training, performance management, on/off-boarding, policy implementation, talent acquisition, and employment law/government compliance. We are looking for an experienced, qualified, resourceful, service-oriented HR Generalist to support our human resources team, ensuring timely and efficient operations. Responsibilities:

Recruiting

  • Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Source potential candidates from various online channels (e.g., social media and professional platforms like Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
  • Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details, including initiating background checks.
  • May attend and participate in job fairs, networking events and recruiting sessions.

Onboarding/Offboarding

  • Administers on-boarding and exit processing for employees. Assures employee compliance for all required hiring and exiting activities.
  • May perform new employees? orientations to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
  • Conduct and analyze exit interviews and make actionable recommendations based on data collected.

Compliance

  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements and conducting investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; and maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Reinforce the company policies, rules, and procedures to ensure employees? compliance and safety.
  • Assist in compliance with employee labor laws and regulations.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.

Support

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and support human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance, talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; training and development.
  • Maintains human resource digital files records and compiles reports.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Support employees when human resources issues arise with efficient problem-solving.
  • Reinforce the company policies, rules, and procedures to ensure employees? compliance and safety.
  • May attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Provides a dedicated line of communication (phones, emails, and social media) where current employees, prospective employees, and former employees can get general HR Information.
  • Arrange seminars, workshops, and conferences based on each department?s needs.
  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in developing and implementing of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies/procedures.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; and maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Assists in the evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve the efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.

Payroll/Benefits

  • Participates in the company?s bi-weekly payroll processing in supporting/verifying the effort, including timesheets, account classification, and rate verification.
  • Other duties as assigned.
