Express Employment, in partnership with a reputable local manufacturing company in the Colusa area, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have:

Pay Rate: $80,000 - $100,000 per year (Depending on Experience)

Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and engineering drawing interpretation
• Skills in shop operations, including welding and fabrication
• Experience with machining using mills and lathes
• A basic understanding of hydraulic systems and principles
• Openness to acquiring new skills and knowledge

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain SolidWorks models and drawings for research and production equipment
• Generate bills of materials for production equipment
• Create operator manuals for equipment
• Engage in weekly design reviews and brainstorming sessions with the engineering team
• Collaborate with fabricators, assemblers, and production personnel to ensure equipment completion
• Contribute independently and collaboratively to new product design projects
• Conduct on-site visits to collect machine performance data
• Undertake occasional fabrication and assembly tasks
• Participate in cross-training initiatives
• Foster teamwork and collaboration within the department
• Complete other assigned duties as necessary
