The Boeing Company is currently seeking Wire Design and Equipment Install Engineers to join the Air Dominance Platform Systems Team located in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
At Boeing, our Wire Design and Equipment Install Engineers are responsible for the development of wire harnesses and aircraft routing, through 2D and 3D modeling. You will work closely with Boeing teammates to ensure seamless integration on our Boeing platforms. Our Equipment Install Design Engineers are responsible for the mechanical interfaces of avionics, electrical components and other equipment. Through 2D and 3D modeling, you will interface closely with Boeing teammates to integrate advanced capabilities onto our Boeing platforms.
Positions may support any of the following programs: F-15, F/A-18, T-7A, MQ-25, or other proprietary efforts.
Position Responsibilities:
Design and model using 3D modeling software, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications.
Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests).
Develops and maintains basic product detail, assembly and installation designs
Follows documented processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture. Collects data to support the development of statements of work.
Reviews functional and physical input used in the development of integrated design and system architecture.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Entry Level and Associate Wire Design and Equipment Install Engineers.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Experience with engineering and design software (i.e. CAD/3D packages (UG/NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO, etc.)
Currently reside in OR willing to relocate to St. Louis, Missouri
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering
Experience in the Aerospace Industry
Experience within a design/build team
Experience creating, developing, and/or maintaining engineering processes
Experience with NX/Unigraphics CAD and Teamcenter PDM systems for design interrogation, manufacturing planning development and tooling design review
Experience interpreting model based engineering or 2D engineering drawings to develop technical illustration
Typical Education:
Level 1 (Entry Level) :Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Level 2 (Associate): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range (Level 1 Entry Level): $68,000 – $92,000
Summary pay range (Level 2 Associate): $81,600 – $110,400
