As a Senior Global Learning and Development Manager, you will be crucial in designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive learning and development programs for a global organization. You will collaborate and support worldwide learning and development professionals to ensure the organization's workforce has the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve business goals and personal growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
Program Management:
Develop systems and infrastructure for all learning, training, and development programs by establishing standardized delivery, evaluation, measurement, and outcome reporting methods.
Establish, maintain, and report on metrics to measure training effectiveness, utilization, and compliance.
Develop assessments to identify training needs, gaps in curriculum, and other learning opportunities that support performance management and organizational initiatives and goals.
Evaluate and determine the effectiveness of current learning methods/systems.
Partner across the organization to assess program development needs that drive the overall organizational strategy, including creating and administering new and innovative learning and training solutions. Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop training programs, both technical and soft skills, tailored to the needs of various departments and job roles.
Design and maintain communication strategies to inform employees of development and educational events, opportunities, requirements, and resources.
Research and develop team and/or cohort learning opportunities.
Instructional Design:
Advise and collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze training needs and define learning objectives for various job roles and skill levels, acting as an internal consultant.
Design and develop instructional materials, including training manuals, e-learning modules, videos, interactive activities, and assessments.
Utilize instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles to create effective and engaging learning experiences.
Incorporate multimedia elements and technology to enhance the learning process.
Create and maintain training content in various formats, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
Training Facilitation:
Conduct instructor-led training sessions for both small and large groups of learners.
Adapt facilitation techniques based on the audience's learning styles and skill levels.
Encourage learner participation and provide an interactive and inclusive training environment.
Handle questions, facilitate discussions, and address any concerns during training sessions.
Continuously assess and monitor the effectiveness of training delivery, making adjustments as needed.
Metrics and Evaluation:
Establish key performance indicators and metrics to measure the success and effectiveness of training programs, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.
Continuously assess and improve learning initiatives based on feedback and results.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and at least six to eight years of related work experience.
Proven experience in learning and development in complex global environments, with a track record of managing global programs.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle large-scale projects.
Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
Ability to adapt to a diverse and changing work environment.
Prior experience with a distributed workforce and exposure to best-in-class L&D from other organizations of similar size and stage of transformation; Global matrixed organization is preferred.
Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels.
Superior consulting skills, collaboration with key stakeholders and regional L&D leaders to ensure consistency and alignment of learning initiatives across the organization's global offices.
Multi-lingual skills will be a plus (Spanish, Portuguese, French)
