As the Head of Strategic Sourcing Center of Excellence, you will play a pivotal role in driving efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation within the procurement function of our organization. You will lead a team responsible for developing and implementing best practices, processes, and strategies to optimize sourcing activities across the company, including implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving strategic sourcing systems and tools for sourcing enablement.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and communicate the strategic vision and goals for the Strategic Sourcing Center of Excellence.
- Lead the development and implementation of sourcing strategies aligned with organizational objectives and market trends.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable sourcing plans.
Process Optimization:
- Design, standardize, and continuously improve sourcing processes to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance value delivery.
- Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sourcing activities.
- Implement technology solutions to streamline sourcing processes and enhance data-driven decision-making.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Lead the development and maintenance of strategic supplier relationships to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Identify and qualify potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance to maximize value and mitigate risks.
- Drive supplier innovation and collaboration to foster long-term partnerships and competitive advantage.
Talent Development:
- Build and develop a high-performing team by providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and innovation within the Strategic Sourcing Center of Excellence.
- Recruit and retain top talent to support the organization's strategic sourcing objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and legal, to ensure alignment and integration of sourcing initiatives.
- Engage with senior leadership to provide insights, recommendations, and updates on sourcing performance and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications – Education, Experience, Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience (7+ years) in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a track record of success in driving cost savings and process improvements.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Deep understanding of sourcing best practices, market dynamics, and industry trends.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in sourcing tools and technologies, including eSourcing platforms and spend analytics software.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) preferred.
- Foreign languages (Spanish, French, Portuguese) a plus
