Quality Engineer Essential Functions/Duties:
- Measurement Lab.
- Ensure quality of incoming material and outgoing FEM that meet our Customer's expectations.
- Components measures. (assembly piece or complete assembly).
- Service to the Non-directed Suppliers / Directed as required.
- Service to the Industrial Operation.
- Calibration Plan.
- Measure of different components.
- Calibration and adjustment of assembly devices.
- Assist & participate in PPAP & PSO activities.
- Supplier’s evaluation.
- Claim suppliers to quality problems.
- Internal Quality Performance.
- Device Programs.
- Ensuring compliance to and participation in IATF 16949 and CSR (Customer Specific Requirements) Compliance.
- Ensure computer/internet access to Customer Specific Portals and department-specific required Applications.
- Customer Quality Performance.
- Process Product / Capability Performance. (GR&R, etc.).
- KPI review and monitoring as required.
- Can stop production, upon notifying the Supervisor and Plant Manager for Safety related matters requiring immediate repair.
- Audit activities (EP, other internal).
- Coordinate containment activities.
- Participate in or lead root cause analysis & corrective action activities.
- Participate in CI activities.
- Responsible for training / overseeing Quality Auditor and BUA training/tasks
- Document control & System Maintenance.
- Perform all duties in a safe & environmental manner.
- Interface with HBPO production employees.
- Participate in creating a safe-oriented work environment.
- Use PPE as required.
- Cooperation with Human Resources in dealing with personnel matters.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience/Skills:
- Post Secondary Education in a related field (Industrial engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 years working experience in Quality Engineering.
- IATF16949/CSR (Customer Specific Requirements) ISO 500001/14001 Auditor.
- Blue Print Reading
- Official CMM training preferred.
- Experience with Tesla Quality Management systems: CQMS, EBSC
- Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Use of handheld gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
- Calibration techniques.
- Gage R&R and MSA
- Process Capability Monitoring

- FMEA, CP, Pflow
- GD&T, Blue Print Reading & SPC
