Position Title: Purchasing Manager – MEP Contractor
Position Summary: Coordinate the procurement of goods and services for MEP construction projects with attention to correct product, delivery and price. Knowledge of pipe, valves and fittings and electrical is preferred.
Job Description and Responsibilities : Process purchase orders and receipts. Verify purchase requisitions. Maintain vendor relationships and pricing database. Coordinate with warehouse and field for deliveries.
Knowledge : Detail oriented. Superior organizational skills required. MEP Construction industry highly desirable.
Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office and computerized accounting system.
Abilities: Ability to learn on the job and work with multiple project managers concurrently. Work accurately under deadlines and perform multiple tasks. Personable and flexible.
Experience and Education : Minimum 2yr college degree or related experience. Must have clean, valid NYS Driver’s license.
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours /week. Hours 730am – 4:00pm M-F. Business casual dress environment.
