Hiring for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join us in Hillsboro, OR! This Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining both the production facility and its equipment/systems inside. Most of the equipment are for chemical processing lines and/or cleanroom sanitizing machines. There is a heavy emphasis on industrial pumps and 3-phase motors. Basic facility maintenance is required, but there are vendors who are brought out for any repairs outside of the team's scope.
Pay:
$28-29 base + 10% shift differential = $30.80 - $31.90 /hr
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and minor repairs to industrial pumps and 3-phase motors.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on both the facility and the equipment
- Conduct routine, non-licensed inspections of facilities including fire equipment and boilers
- Ensure fire protection equipment is properly maintained and up to date
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to buildings and facilities including carpentry and painting
- Guide outside vendors while on site to major maintenance and repairs as required to mechanical systems, HVAC systems, boilers and generators
- Advise the Manager of required major repairs or replacements
- Ensure the safety and protection of buildings including ensuring doorways are not blocked and that buildings and facilities are locked when not in use
- Clean rooms maintenance
- Monitors contractor performance and works closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications
- Assist with administrative duties related to building maintenance
- Assist in preparing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules
- Maintain inventory control over equipment and supplies
- Assist in ordering replacement equipment and supplies
- Assist in risk management activities
- Maintain building maintenance logs and records
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Key Skills and Abilities:
The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
- National and local building codes, regulations, etc.
- Building construction and maintenance procedures
- HVAC basic maintenance, basic troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems
- When to contact tradespersons to complete a task or repair
- Experienced in obtaining/evaluating quotes received for bids on projects and managing external contractors
- Inspection procedures
- Workplace safety requirements and procedures
- Record keeping systems
- Knowledge of industrial pumps and 3phase motors. Perform basic wiring on motors.
- Ability to maintain buildings and facilities in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to operate required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to read and write to maintain daily logs
- Time management skills
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 2pm - 10:30pm

Requirements:
- 4+ years of maintenance in a manufacturing facility
- Knowledge of basic hand and power tools
- Comfortable working in an environment that has chemicals around
- Ability to walk, crouch, bend, climb ladders, and be on your feet for the entire shift.
- Repair and installation of pumps and 3phase motors.
- Conduct routine, non-licensed inspections of facilities including fire equipment and boilers.
- Ensure fire protection equipment is properly maintained and up to date.
