Under the direction of the Human Resource Manager, the Human Resources Generalist will assist in the performance of all daily functions within the HR Department with a strong emphasis on recruiting and employee relations. Payroll experience is preferred.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assists with recruiting, interviewing, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
- Assists with new hire orientation, onboarding programs, and employee recognition programs.
- May assist with payroll duties if necessary.
- Assists with routine employment verifications, unemployment claims, worker’s compensation claims, and other routine requests for information from external entities, in compliance with all confidentiality rules and regulations that pertain.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to attendance, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Partners with/assists HR Manager with employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
- Attends and participates in employee team meetings, disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as needed.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and ensures strict confidentiality in all matters related to the HR Department functions.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Assists with covering front desk / receptionist duties and phones as business needs dictates.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Must possess 2-3 years of hands-on HR experience in a Coordinator or Generalist capacity.
- Proven recruiting and onboarding experience.
- Payroll experience preferred or willingness to learn
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proven experience with HRIS systems and ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
- HR experience in manufacturing a plus.
- HR Certification a plus.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Job Type: Full-time (M-F, 8am - 5pm), On-site working, no hybrid or remote working.
Pay: From $60,000 to 70,000 per year. Bonus eligible.
