The ICS Films Quality organization has an opening for a Film Quality Control Lab Technologist to join our Bayport, Texas Site

The quality organization provides quality and technical support across the ICS Films manufacturing sites and partner locations worldwide, including QMS oversight and improvement.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Support gauge R&R work & MSA employing statistics to determine opportunities for improvement.
  • Support digitalization and SPC efforts
  • Field questions from lab technicians.
  • Train & mentor lab technicians on new/improved methods and lab techniques
  • Qualify new equipment.
  • Technical SME for lab procedures
  • Support QC Lab equipment troubleshooting, basic maintenance and up-keep.
  • Identify and implement improvements to lab equipment maintenance plans & collaborates with QC lab equipment vendors on tool reliability.
  • Ensure equipment stays properly calibrated.
  • Support spec changes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in chemistry degree, required.
  • 1-2 years of QC lab experience working directly on measurement tools and devices.
  • Good proficiency with computers and MS Office Suite.
  • Willing and able to travel to the CVL plant when needed, approximate travel is 10-20%.
