The Boeing Company’s has an exciting opportunity for Experienced Background Screening and Adjudication Specialists to join our Security Background Screening team in Mesa, Arizona!
The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring background screening requirements are conducted in accordance with to regulatory and contractual obligations across Boeing. The team of specialists work together to administer day to day operations and oversight of all background screenings.
Position Responsibilities:
Execute background screening and adjudication screenings in accordance with internal and external regulatory requirements, to include relevant federal and state laws
Gather independent information from public records sources, and employment applications to determine, if new hire applicants and/or meet the established screening standards for new hires and contingent labor personnel
Collect and gather needed information from a Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA), to review and analyze multiple data sets; and identify concerns and discrepancies in an applicant’s background investigation report to make reasoned conclusions based on applicant’s background screening report results
Apply knowledge of the criminal justice system to determine if a criminal record is legal to be considered for employment purposes
Partner and collaborate with internal investigative teams, Corporate Investigations, Strategic Intelligence, Ethics, Law, and Human Resources teams, through alignment and understanding of joint investigations
Apply background screenings under the direction and in consultation with Background Screening Leader
Implement and ensure compliance with risk management practices and procedures to enhance company operations
Assist partners and/or customers in researching and resolving common questions and problems and defining requirements
Be familiar with background screening systems and applications while working in a high-volume and fast paced environment
Assist with mitigating foreseeable risk to Boeing’s people, property, product, and information through the execution of professional background screening and adjudication services
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
3+ years of experience with background screening, investigations, and/or adjudication
3+ years of experience building relationships and partnering with all levels of employees, including executives
3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with (FCRA) Fair Credit Reporting Act, (EEOC) Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and permissible legal considerations surrounding employment decisions
Experience in a role that requires attention to detail to create and maintain accurate and complete records, both paper and electronic, in accordance with procedures
Experience handling, protecting and communicating sensitive/confidential data
Experience presenting skills to multiple audiences, including executive leadership
Experience with written and verbal communication expertise for interaction in a dynamic executive environment
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
