Dealership is expanding and looking for a parts manager for our busy service department! Great customer service skills are a plus and must be able to work in a busy atmosphere!
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts Manager to join our team. As a Parts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of parts and supplies for our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of procurement management systems and supply chain management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement process for parts and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effective purchasing
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory control and reduce costs
- Coordinate with internal departments to fulfill parts requests in a timely manner
- Oversee the warehouse operations, including receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing parts
- Collaborate with the fabrication team to ensure timely production of custom parts
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for tracking parts usage, inventory levels, and maintenance activities
- Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies or inefficiencies in the parts management process
- Train and supervise staff members involved in parts management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in parts management or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
- Proficient in using CMMS software for inventory tracking and maintenance activities
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with suppliers and internal teams
- Proficient in data entry and record keeping
