Employment Information

Contractor employees shall maintain repair and modify aircraft components and engines of complex to extreme difficulty. Contractor shall maintain and repairs T-38 aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel system and mechanical components. Contractor shall apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and apply technical expertise in restoring equipment to fully operational condition. Contractor shall apply professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals. Contractor shall be able to identify, inspect, and properly store aircraft parts that have been removed to FOM. The Contractor shall possess a thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures, replacement of components, and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems. Contractor shall possess a detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. The contractor shall possess the experience and ability to provide technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers and must possess excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet aircraft delivery schedule and make entries in aircraft logs and records.
