Job Overview:
The Supply Chain Planning Manager leads the coordination, compilation and evaluation of a highly accurate volume forecast for our AFH Hardgoods business, at a Customer, Sales Channel, Customer-level and Category/SKU level using historical trends, secondary data sources and sales field information. Responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic plans to deliver Hardgoods supply chain performance to our Coffee Business Unit, with a specific focus on the AFH Commercial business. This role will also lead the coordination and execution of adhoc At Home domestic projects, inclusive of rebox, reclass, and SKU transitions. This role will drive supply chain results in all aspects including forecast accuracy, supply planning, inventory management, customer fulfillment, and productivity. This leader will work cross functionally with Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Finance, Commercial, Marketing, Sales and Transportation teams to ensure the Coffee Business Units strategic initiatives are met.
What you will do:
- Partners with Cross functional leaders to develop and implement strategic plans that meet our customers’ demand while improving productivity, quality and operational efficiency.
- Compile and evaluate a market-based and event-driven forecast for AFH Hardgoods in-line products, new products, business development and market assessment.
- Understand how sales trends, promotional activity and shipment patterns will affect demand and make appropriate adjustments to forecasts.
- Ensures operational execution of new product launches and transitions, while also managing end of life programs to minimize obsolescence.
- Partner with internal customers such as product commercial/marketing, finance, brand management, sale, and customer marketing to collaborate on a forecast recommendation.
- Track and improve forecast accuracy metrics.
- Resolve conflict/provide solutions by exercising high levels of influencing, negotiation and communication skills. Be proactive and address issues when they show.
- Work with Supply Chain functions to establish process improvement programs.
- Oversee domestic inventory obsolescence management, and partner with finance for monthly tracking.
- Provide input to the S&OP supply meeting and actively participate throughout the monthly S&OP cycle.
- Act as a subject matter expert for demand planning amongst team and cross-functionally.
- Provide system and process training to other key members in organization.

Requirements:
What you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Statistics, Accounting, Mathematics or similar analytical degree; MBA or MPA degree preferred
- 10+ years’ progressive leadership experience in product supply in the consumer product industry.
- Ability to create and maintain relationships, both externally and internally.
- Excellent communication skills, and Executive level presentation competency.
- Ability to be flexible and drive for results, even when all of the requirements have not been defined.
- Proven experiences with successfully implementing best in class demand planning processes.
- Strong deductive reasoning, statistical analysis, mathematical and communication skills.
- Ability to occasionally travel; work a flexible schedule as needed.
