Responsibilities
- Promote a culture of Continual Improvement by utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive quality improvements, reduce manufacturing cost, minimize waste and improve efficiency
- Supports the SQE and ME team at all levels & operations with required technical and general support
- Evaluate and assists with processing supplier discrepant material reports (SDMR)
- Evaluate and respond to RFI (supplier request for information)
- Evaluate supplier issues and provide technical guidance
- Perform supplier audits and determine qualifications
- Evaluate & Approve/Un-approve suppliers in our ASL database
- Keep and tabulate supplier performance metrics and take appropriate actions
- Perform Engineering analysis to determine Root Cause and implement Corrective Actions
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key suppliers
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- New graduate that has attained or pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Senior Year) or related technical field (As determined by the hiring manager).
- Conceptional knowledge to read and interpret component and assembly drawings and procedures to ensure blue print compliance
- Conceptional knowledge of GD&T, schematics and relevant test and inspection equipment
- Conceptional knowledge of solid modeling
- Conceptional knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma Principles
- Demonstrated hands on abilities through employment or personal projects
- Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of this position
- Must have strong interpersonal relationship skills as position requires heavy phone and face to face interaction with employees at all levels, regulatory agencies, and members of companies we have partnered with and depend on for our success.
