In this role as a Senior Technical Writer, you will lead the development and maintenance of technical documentation for solutions across the HBT Technical Publications team with a focus on the Building Management (BMS) line of business. You will work in a global environment and collaborate with other content developers, product owners, offering managers, engineers, developers, UI designers, operations and other stakeholders to deliver documentation. The documentation of the solutions includes software and hardware and should be designed for customer consumption. You have the natural ability to evaluate and analyze complex information and then clearly explain them to others in simple terms.

Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards

Manage complex documentation projects using SAFe Agile and Kanban methodologies to deliver in scope and on time

Work in a diverse global team to create and deliver high quality technical content in a timely manner

Work closely with engineering and offering teams to develop and review technical content

Apply modern technical writing techniques and topic-based authoring best practices and tools to create comprehensive content for multiple targeted audiences

Maintenance of existing technical documentation artifacts

Bachelor’s Degree
-
5+ years of experience in a technical documentation role with superior written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on detail
-
2+ years of experience working with a global writing team

High fluency level of English written and oral

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Technical Communication or technical field preferred

Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization

Experience using modern development processes, such as SAFe Agile
-
MAD certified using MadCap Software
-
SAFe Agile certification
-
Certification through the Society for Technical Communicators
-
Experience using Madcap Flare (preferred), Adobe Framemaker, or other XML tools to create documentation
