This is a Quality leadership role within the Honeywell Aerospace Trading (HAT) organization. This role is responsible for playing a vital link between our Aftermarket Aerospace customer teams and the organizations supporting quality and delivery for the customer base. The individual in this position will report directly to the HAT VP/GM.
The individual in this position is responsible for providing quality assurance leadership in support of the Honeywell Aerospace Trading (HAT) business. While working closely with the business segment teams and ISC, this individual will define and support the deployment of quality improvement projects for production and development programs.
This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations covering all quality management (incl. quality assurance) functions.
This position involves influencing the development and use of best practice processes in Aerospace Trading business. The position requires breadth of technical experience across programs and products, in order to work with our customers in determining appropriate quality requirements and processes. The successful candidate will have experience in managing global HAT quality requirements, communicating with senior management, managing challenging customer issues, leveraging the larger Aero organization for solutions, and solving complex problems where a degree of ambiguity exists.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight of the QMS implemented throughout three Distribution Centers (1013, 4150, 5254) and their respective 3PLs (GXO, Neovia, CEVA).
- Maintain the QMS and compliance with ISO9001:2015 and AS9100 as well as other recognized standards, such as FAA AC 00-56B to ensure current certification is maintained from DNV Registrar.
- Development and maintenance of the Annual Audit Schedule for all internal audit activities, including QSAT Milestones, product trace audits and other quality activities.
- Prepare sites and facilitate all DNV, network, and customer audits.
- Maintain closed loop corrective action system and activities within ECATs.
- Document, implement and maintain all quality procedures and records.
- Develop and measure Quality Objectives to determine health of QMS and objective evidence of these measurements at defined intervals (Escapes, Audits, OTTR, Supplier OTTR, RMAs, VOC, Supplier Performance, Quarantine performance, Training).
- Maintain monthly Management Review with leadership in accordance with ISO9001/AS9100.
- Development, implementation and recording of Quality improvement projects (provide evidence to auditors of continuous improvement activities).
- Document, implement and record of an effective risk management system.
- Develop and maintain site Corrective Action Board (CAB) in accordance with Honeywell Procedures.
- Develop and maintain site Foreign Object Debris (FOD) council in accordance with Honeywell Aerospace Procedures.
- Development, implementation, and maintenance of HAT global training program, including 3PL personnel handling product (QMS, Handling parts, hazmat, shelf-life, LLPs, SUPS, Counterfeit, Trace, Authorized Release Certificates, ESD, FOD etc).
- Resolution on all customer issues, disputes, and complaints as well as warranty consideration and authorization for RMA.
- Complete oversight of all material and accompanying documentation accepted and shipped from the HAT QMS, including product and articles shipped from other sites (i.e., SPEX), this includes nose to tail spares and from all segments (ATR, BGA, MIL, GSE (Ground Support Equip)).
- Technical records management, including airframe, engine, APU, and Landing Gear, including Back to Birth and support of data mini packs production.
- Management of HAT Quarantine and coordination with all internal and external sources to execute resolution.
- Management, coordination, and records of HAT Scrap.
- Maintenance of HAT Approved Vendor List, including certification and vetting of all new and renewed vendors and their accompanying records.
- Completion of all Customer Quality survey requests to ensure HAT is maintained on customer AVL for issuance of orders and payment.
- Complete support of HAT ISC and HAT Sales functions to acquire quality product, review documentation and support customer requests to obtain orders and ensure sold parts remain sold.
- Complete support of GoDirect Trade initiatives and implementation of activities throughout the distribution centers and Sales Support with customer inquiries.
- Support and development of the HAT QMS and processes for the Shanghai entity, plant 5080, incoordination with the Service Center and ERB resources.
- Achievement and maintenance of the ASA-100 Quality Certification in support of customer demand.
- Attendance and input in the ASA Quality Committee to contribute and influence Industry changes.
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of directly related experience in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing or Product Engineering.
- 10+ years of direct experience in Aerospace Trading Business
- 3+ years previous management or leadership experience.
- Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
