If so, Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector wants you to join our Team as a FAA certificated Airframe & Powerplant SCA Associate Aircraft Mechanic or an Associate Aircraft Avionics Technician
These positions are located in central Georgia at Robins Air Force Base and require you to work on site daily.
No relocation assistance is available.
These roles will require working more than 8-hour days whenever needed/any shift when needed.
These roles will require overnight travel as required by the program to include international travel.
**Both of these occupations are Service Contract Act positions.
If interested in the aircraft mechanic or aircraft mechanic with avionics tech focus roles, there are maintenance training classes available for mechanics and training classes for avionics techs which will include performing maintenance tasks, complying with operational and functional checks, system trouble shooting, and learning and have a full understanding of aircraft maintenance systems.
As an aircraft mechanic, your duties will include, but not limited to:
1. Performing maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replace, re-assembly, and on how to do adjustment of all aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations.
2. Executing line-maintenance/flight operations support for the USAF’s BACN E-11A (Bombardier Global Express and Global 6000) aircraft including all electrical & mechanical troubleshooting, fault isolation & repair, parts replacement, line repairable unit (LRU) replacement, calibration tasks, testing, engine repairs and/or replacements & proper documentation in aircraft forms.
3. Maintaining FAA required records, manuals, and inspection forms
4. Conducting all levels of maintenance and inspections - flight line, in-depth, depot-level of aircraft and components - in accordance with USAF maintenance procedures & in compliance with associated airworthiness approvals.
As an aircraft mechanic with avionics tech focus, your duties will include the above, as well as these:
1. Uploading aircraft software sets and monthly navigation databases
2. Using Onboard Maintenance System and Portable Maintenance Access Terminal to troubleshoot and identify aircraft system faults and failures.
3. Operating Druck Air Data Test Set, IFR 6000, IFR 4000 to test aircraft pitot/static, navigation, and communication systems.
4. Performing aircraft set-up and systems checks daily prior to crew arrival and launch.
5. Accessing Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and working in an area under the cabin floorboards and also working in a confined space avionics bay
Basic Qualifications:
Have or in the process of obtaining your FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification at time of applying for this role.
High School diploma or equivalent
US citizenship
Have or able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Have or able to obtain a US Passport
