JOB SUMMARY:

Under the general guidance of the Quality Manager, this position is accountable for leading and managing effective day-to-day quality by inspecting all incoming and outgoing products for defects to ensure quality products.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspection of incoming and/or outgoing products for defects.
  • Communicate defects to necessary personnel.
  • Repair cabinetry component defects when applicable.
  • Communicate with various departments and personnel.
  • Complete any necessary documentation and paperwork.
  • Maintain production and quality standards.
  • Follow all safety rules and work instructions.
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
  • May rotate to other departments and duties as needed.
  • Communicate with employees on a regular basis.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Ability to read a tape measure and use it effectively.
  • Ability to read the move ticket and understand ALL of its contents.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with little direct/supervision.
  • Must have good teamwork/communication skills.
  • Identify any specialized equipment used for this job and indicate the daily percent of time spent on each.

PHYSICAL DEMAND –

Concentrated mental and/or visual attention; the work involves performing complex tasks with very close accuracy and quality specifications; a high degree of hand/eye coordination for sustained periods.

The physical effort applied in this job includes lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, bending, standing, walking, manipulating, and pinching with 15% to 40% of the time lifting up to 50lbs.
