Quality Manager Job Overview:

You will build continuous improvement goals for the productivity of the inspection department while also managing floor inspectors by providing inspection priority and technical support when needed and coordinate with plant leads to optimize first piece, in process and final inspections.

You’ll be a great fit if:

  • You can accurately monitor and report out when meeting with the Director of Quality
  • You are able to prepare and/or oversee the preparation of PPAP documentation, ISIR and other project-launch documentation
  • You can manage the training of employees in the Quality Department
  • You are able to coordinate with customers on required source inspections
  • You can operate the Non-Confirming Material Reporting (NCR) system by evaluating defects, developing rework plans, negotiating rework proposals and/or deviations and waivers with customers, developing shop traveler for rework plans, recording, compiling and reporting information relating to cost of the nonconformance, and working with liaisons between manufacturing, purchasing, and accounting
  • You can field and respond to customer complaints

Requirements:

To be considered you’ll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field
  • 5 - 7+ years with quality experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous supervision experience (a plus but not required)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong blueprint reading skills (including GD&T)
  • A willingness to learn and grow
