Employment Information
Responsibilities:
  • Weekly local warehouse visits to perform bench testing on incoming warranty returns
  • Perform hardware/software (HW/SW) analysis on defective returns, including initial HW/SW analysis (DTC & Bench Test Confirmation, PCB Component Level investigations) on failure modules
  • Lead the quality analysis of customer-reported failures (8Ds, 5phases, etc.), identifying potential root causes of failed parts and making recommendations
  • Prepare comprehensive reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, driving actionable insights and recommendations
  • Visit customer dealerships and plants if necessary (In & Out of State)
  • Online vehicle forum monitoring as part of "early sensing" activity to proactively detect potential issues with LGE components
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or Industrial Engineering
  • 3+ years of job related experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office at an intermediate level)
  • Technical knowledge in automotive electronics field (ECU testing and system level integration)
  • Ability to Travel Domestically (Multiple Days)
Preferred (Not Required):
  • Prior exposure to logging tools such as QXDM
  • Experience with or knowledge of large production lines, Control Plans, PFMEAs, and process control
  • Knowledge of Minitab, PowerBI, Six Sigma, 8D problem solving
  • American Society of Quality (ASQ) certification as Certified Quality Engineer
  • Experience with Product Failure Mode and Root Cause Analysis (SW + HW)
