Responsibilities
1. Keep the production calendar up to date. Assign start dates to new jobs and rescheduled scheduled jobs that have conflicts. Also reschedule and notify customer reps of jobs that needed to be moved last minute due to weather or other conflicts. Maintain communication with customer reps and clients, when needed, regarding schedule changes and updates
2. Project and track future job costs for all residential and commercial jobs and then compare/analyze actual job costs with projected job costs to make sure that jobs stay within budget and profit margins.
3. Communicate with customer reps, production assistant, permit tech and team leaders regarding all active in production jobs on the schedule. Be available to answer customer rep and permit questions and resolve problems/disputes in a timely manner. Communicate all production hiccups/challenges and work with teams to get resolution in a timely manner. Identify and tag all jobs that need permits and make sure job is not scheduled before the permit has been successfully pulled. Also work with permit tech to make sure all required documentation for permit deposit/refunds and city compliance is obtained.
4. Responsible for being present or coordinating crew leads to be present during the resolution of all production problems and inspections. Production manager, production assistant or crew member with sufficient knowledge about the project must be present during all inspections. Production manager is also responsible for coordinating all pre-job walks that are needed and coordinating all post job walks with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
5. Order materials and assign crews to all jobs. Keep in mind materials ordering must be done to ensure best price/rewards and crew assignment must be done based on crew knowledge, performance and availability.
6. Create relationships with suppliers and coordinate material logistics.
7. Handle customer complaints on jobsite.
8. Schedule and coordinate with crews all warranty calls that come in throughout the year.
9. Sell, calculate and coordinate approval with customer reps all change orders.
10. Manager approx. 10 crews. This number could vary in the future. This will consist of approximately 40-50 employees. Will be working closely with customer reps, sales team and managers.
