We are currently looking for a qualified and committed Plant Manager for our Schertz, TX location. We are a lubricant manufacturer with plants in Rosedale, MS, Schertz, TX and Tulsa, OK. We are part of the international growing lubricant company, Axel Christiernsson with locations in Sweden, France and the Netherlands.

JOB SUMMARY:

Direct and manage all plant operations of Axel’s grease manufacturing plant with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality, safety and other production-related activities. The manager must ensure the highest quality products are produced on time, maximize plant efficiency, and maintain a safe working environment. Company policies must be administered; and the vision of our Quality System must be incorporated throughout the plant operation.

Some ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Direct and manage all functions associated with the daily operations of production, maintenance, quality and shipping and receiving at the facility.
  • Manage capital asset acquisition, installation and maintenance.
  • Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.
  • Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
  • Implements and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
  • Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
  • Incorporate the quality policy and ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems.
  • Ensure the production schedule aligns with customer requirements.
  • Ensure that proper safety procedures for the operation of all equipment are observed by all employees.
  • Execute the annual budget.
  • Minimize the amount of scrap and/or waste material generated in connection with the production cycle.
  • Provides direction, development and leadership to 2-4 Reporting Managers and 2 non-supervisory employees. Indirectly supervises approximately 20-35 plant personnel to accomplish the company goals and objectives.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Strong Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet)
  • Strong Communications Skills
  • Experience to facilitate Team Management
  • Problem solving skills
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 Quality Systems
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and training requirements
  • Knowledge of Environmental Rules

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or five years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have at least 5 years of hands on management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.

Up to 10% travel expected.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
