Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Mechanical Design Engineer (Associate) to join our team! In this role you will get to apply engineering principles across multiple disciplines, utilize CAE/CAD applications to prepare or assist in fundamental engineering computations, material estimates, designs and prototyping.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Apply basic engineering techniques and analysis within one or more disciplines.
  • Undergo training under supervision to learn engineering theories, practices, and company procedures
  • Use CAE/CAD applications for mechanical design assignments
  • Perform research on available components and materials to meet specific requirements.
  • Prototype through small scale manufacturing (3D printing, CNC) and assembly to create functional elements for integration into the larger system.
  • Perform engineering and design assignments using basic principles and theories from a Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Prepare or assist in preparing fundamental engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, designs and prototyping
  • Assist in preparing detailed requisitions for material purchase, and services
  • Develop detailed test plans, conduct testing, record and analyze data from tests.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field) and typically 0-2 years of related work experience
  • Requires basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or a related field. Familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is also required.


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience with engineering modeling/simulation and robotics is desired.

Salary Range:

$61,200.00 - $107,100.00
