Job Overview:
The Master Electrician/Facilities Specialist Liaison supports the Marvin facilities, systems and equipment including preventive maintenance, consulting on new and existing equipment and facilities, electrical (Intertek/UL) and building code requirements and supporting issues as they arise. Strong communication skills both internally and externally are of the utmost importance.
Highlights of your role:
- Must possess proficient mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to read and understand schematics and diagrams for equipment and facilities. Lead and administer building of control panels for new and existing equipment and oversee involvement of electrical apprentice activities.
- Provide input on recommendations for Preventative Maintenance (PM) activity to enhance equipment and facility effectiveness to ensure safety, reduce downtime, increase efficiency and quality. Diagnose and provide recommendations to problematic issues proactively for equipment and facilities to improve uptime.
- Research potential components, evaluate performance and make recommendations to ensure our equipment and facilities perform at a high level and cost effectively.
- Ensure equipment and facilities remain compliant with electrical and building codes including but not limited to Intertek/UL.
- Assist in Project Management for special building and machine projects. Serve as an electrical consultant to Marvin facilities and outside contractors including but not limited to electrical, HVAC, plumbing, Roofing, Johnson Controls.
- Proactive and thorough communication along with building and maintaining internal and external relationships is of the utmost importance for all aspects of this position. Must possess the ability to work independently, train and mentor others to ensure we win as a team.
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can):
- High School diploma /GED required
- Associates degree or equivalent experience Electronics (or related field) and/or five or more years related experience required
- Preferred mechanical aptitude knowledge includes: pneumatics/hydraulics, electrical diagrams and systems, controls, sensors and PLC's
- State Master Electrician license required
