The Maintenance Apprentice, under immediate supervision of a certificated technician, learns and becomes competent in the testing, adjusting and repairing, and other general tasks related to the maintenance and repair of aircraft systems and components on a variety of airframes in a safe and clean work environment according to manufacturer’s specifications, Duncan Aviation approved procedures, and customer specifications. In addition to performing maintenance on aircraft and documenting on the job experience, the Maintenance Apprentice will work towards obtaining their Airframe and or Powerplant certificate by participating in: off-hours self-study of provided materials, regular attendance of scheduled classes, completion of practice exams with progressively improving scores, and completion of Career Progress Checklist.
