The Role:
Join MAC as our newest Leave & Benefits Specialist! In this pivotal role, you'll play a crucial part in administering employee benefits and leave programs. Reporting directly to our Total Rewards Manager, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring our team members receive the support they need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Frontline Support: Provide frontline customer service and support for benefits and leave programs.
  • Issue Resolution: Act as the primary contact for employee inquiries and resolve benefit issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Administration: Administer all employee benefits and leave programs while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Communication: Track and communicate benefits and leave information to relevant parties and ensure payroll has the necessary data.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain benefit data integrity in HRIS through audits and reconciliations.
  • Vendor Liaison: Serve as a liaison with vendors and respond to requests from external agencies.
  • Process Optimization: Collaborate closely with Finance and Payroll to streamline processes and ensure efficiency.
  • Technology Utilization: Utilize HRIS technology to simplify processes and enhance effectiveness.
  • Policy Guidance: Advise management on the interpretation and application of benefit policies and regulations.
  • Onboarding Support: Support benefits orientation for new hires and assist with open enrollment processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about state and federal leave requirements and implement necessary policy changes.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other HR duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of HR experience, with a focus on benefits administration.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Problem-Solving: Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration software, preferably Dayforce, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Industry Experience: Hospitality or service industry experience is preferred.
  • Work Arrangement: Must be able to work full-time on-site.
