The HRBP of Payroll, Benefits, and HRIS is tasked with oversight of all Human Resources compliance for the company. This role extends to overseeing payroll operations and maintaining the Paylocity HRIS system. Additionally, the incumbent manages payroll tax setups and ensures strict adherence to all local, state, and federal payroll regulations, including compliance with legal and regulatory standards such as the FLSA.
Compensation Data: Exempt salary starting at $100k based on experience.
Travel: Minimal
Location: 100% remote. M-F, generally 8-5 with flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees and manages the HR Compliance function across the organization to include tax set-ups, adherence to federal, state and local regulations as well as regulatory standards.
- Oversees the payroll function, establishing internal processes that ensure the integrity of all payroll-related transactions. Administers pay practices, time and attendance policies, and the PTO plan and validates compliance with consistency in application.
- Ensures users have appropriate access and support navigating HRIS systems; develops and delivers HRIS system training to meet the company's needs.
- Develops and deploys performance and calibration tasks; works with employees and managers to ensure a timely and successful merit review process.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and data analytics to support the HR department and data requests from internal clients. Provides retrieval ability to produce employee information for analysis and decision-making, statistical data, and other employee-related reports as required.
- Identifies, evaluates, and recommends benefit plan designs, performs cost analyses, and reviews funding alternatives. Manages external benefits consultants and prepares proposals for management review and consideration.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, serves as a member of the Employee Benefits Committee, communicates benefit plan provisions to employees, and maintains and issues plan documents.
- Manages third-party vendors and oversees the administration of employee benefit plans, including flexible spending accounts, medical, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, and thrift plans.
- Collaborates with human resource team members to provide quality service to business partners, employees, and plan participants.
What you will need to succeed:
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or business administration or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a payroll, compensation, or benefits role.
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designation a plus
- Experience with Paylocity HRIS a significant plus.
Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of the Fair Labor Standards Act, ERISA, COBRA, ACA, EEO, and other relevant federal regulations.
- Experience with acquisitions and applicable regulations surrounding such.
- Experience with Talent Management Systems required, with Paylocity preferred.
- Experience in defining system solutions, automation of work processes, and implementation of cloud-based systems. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, planning, and time-management skill
- Ability to manage multiple tasks against tight deadlines.
- Must maintain confidential and secure sensitive information.
- Must be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Requires excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Must have demonstrated ability to successfully establish effective interpersonal relationships with a variety of management and staff and work independently toward project deliverables.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects to their successful conclusion.
