Overview:
The Host/Hostess role will include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times and escorting customers to the dining and bar areas. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive till their departure.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $20 to $24.00.

Responsibilities:
Reception:
  • Greeting clients, considering referrals, likes/dislikes per customer profile
  • Maintain the books organized and guest information accurate.
  • Handle reservations and cancellations through Resy.
  • Keep the door organized and clean.
  • Booking and handling cancelled reservations through Resy.
  • Keeping the reception area tidy, free of any food or beverages.
  • Keep menus clean and updated.
  • Print menus and keep a current count as needed.

Service:
  • Welcome and greet all guest who approaches the door with a smile in a friendly and professional way.
  • Build guest relations. Recognized familiar faces and greet regular guest using their name.
  • Input guest information on Resy and provide a sitting based on the guest request on a timely manner.
  • Walk guest to their table and handle soigne to server in charge.
  • Make sure to acknowledge server if there are any special notes on soigne (Allergies, birthday, special
request) Also acknowledge if there is a turnaround time for the following reservation on that table
  • Report any lost & found items to a Manager, logging items with corresponding description, date, units, etc. on lost & found sheet.
  • Be able to describe the menu and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of all items we offer, to answer questions and speak with confidence to anyone inquiring about the space at the door.
  • Ensure that all menus are clean and pristine condition, check for spelling mistakes, etc.
  • Maximize covers sitting guest strategical and ensuring smooth turns of tables.
  • Be present at the door at all times, to greet and say goodbye to each guest.
  • Upon departure of guest, make sure to engage into a brief conversation to get any feedback about their experience (Positive/Negative).
  • Assist running drinks or food when necessary

Training and Schedule:
  • Assist and complete initial training and on-going educative trainings that are schedule to increase
knowledge of our service and products.
  • Be flexible with schedule and be able to adapt to changing demands of the business

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a hospitality setting is preferred but not always required.
  • Knowledge of basic Electronic Reservations systems.
  • Knowledge of DOH and F&S regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand, lift heavy objects, and move around for extended periods.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility with schedule/weekend availability.
