Overview:
The Food Runner is responsible for delivering excellence in guest service by developing relationships with guests, providing personalized service, anticipating and delivering guests’ needs.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $10.65 plus tips

Responsibilities:

- Perform opening and closing procedures.
- Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shift.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of products, menu, food and general information of restaurant and company.
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
- Communicate with servers and hosts/hostesses to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service.
- Assist servers as needed with food delivery, especially during peak hours.
- Communicate clearly with the culinary staff, at all times.
- Collect food from the kitchen pass area, checking the items not available, return to the guest who ordered and carry out your sequence of service.
- Deliver food to guest quickly and efficiently.
- Ensure the guests have understood what is being served to them by describing the dishes and making eye contact.
- Communicate guest requests to servers as needed.
- Deliver prepared food to designated stations and tables, in a timely manner.
- Table maintenance and bussing of excess tableware.
- Clear empty dirty plates from table.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one years’ experience
- A comprehensive, working knowledge of the hospitality business
- Computer literacy to include: Micros, POS systems
- Ability to comprehend, read, write and speak English fluently
