As an ESO Supply Senior Operations Manager supporting External Supply Organizations, you will be responsible for supply operation activities in Alcon’s External Supply Organization (ESO) including open order management, net requirements calculations (NRC), supplier capacity utilization, inventory management while also being a vital partner in activities such as bridging stock requirements and new product launches. You will also liaise with Quality, Regulatory, Lifecycle Management (LCM) and Global Supply Chain to lead manufacturing projects affecting Alcon’s CMOs and lead business reviews with contract manufacturers monthly at Fort Worth, TX.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Identify and resolve all supply issues (supplier capacity Constraints, Raw Material issues, Transportation, LCM activities) of CMOs
- Develop and maintain the relationship with External Suppliers
- Support MTO global inventory management and allocations in collaboration with S&OP and procurement
- Lead all aspects of monthly management and reporting to Alcon Senior Leadership
- Ensure internal critical metrics (OTIF, SAR, OTC Cuts, BOs) and external important metrics (OTIF, VCP, Lead-time Adherence, Gating Plans) meet targets and publish monthly metrics identifying improvement plans where relevant.
- Engage with internal supply and finance teams to ensure PO turntable and demand planning signals are accurate.
- Provide input and lead Monthly External and Internal business and supply reviews.
- Act as SME for CMOs Planning within Alcon’s network and critical issue path to resolve any obstacles for strategic sourcing projects, initiatives, and business continuity challenges.
- Meet with internal and external CMO leadership teams to discuss supply status and business metrics to provide performance feedback, root cause analysis and implement improvements.
- Lead team that is responsible for ESO Supply Operations team performance that implement overall deliverables for the group.
- Team deliverables include order placement, order reconciliation, negotiations, project support, CMO performance, project management, reporting, developing and conducting business reviews, internal ordering system functionality management (OBP- Order Based Planning), supplier capacity management,
- Complete Annual Budget planning, as well as handle CMO contract obligations
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +15 yrs.; Assoc.+11 yrs.; M.S.+4 yrs.; PhD+3 yrs.)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- 7 Years of Relevant Experience
- 5 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
- Work hours: Monday - Friday

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Excellent capability in Data Analytics (i.e., Alteryx) and SAP ERP systems,
- High proficiency in Excel - must be able to perform advance functions (will need to be demonstratable)
- Strong collaboration, communication, and project management skills/experience
- Demonstrated innovative thinking in supplier development and implementation approaches.
- Profound knowledge of working with suppliers, third parties and external service providers, ideally in pharmaceutical and medical device industry.
