Job Objective

The Building Maintenance Technician performs scheduled maintenance, various repairs, and preservation on Metro Aviation headquarters’ building.

Essential Functions

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing air filters, and cleaning HVAC systems
  • Identify and repair issues with building systems and equipment
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of building occupants by maintaining a clean and well-functioning building
  • Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation of the building
Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSA)

  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Building Maintenance Technician or similar role

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
  • Must be able to access and inspect areas of buildings and grounds

Work Environment

  • Indoor/outdoor shop environment with potential extreme hot and cold temperatures
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals is possible
  • Moderate to loud noise level

Work Status, Schedule, & Travel

  • Full-time
  • Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
  • No travel required

Pay Class

Hourly
