Employment Information

Personal Training Responsibilities:

  • Conduct 1 on 1 OR 1 on 4 sessions
  • Evaluate client fitness level and skillset to plan reachable goals
  • Create a workout plan tailored to client needs
  • Monitor client through strength training and weightlifting, ensuring proper form and safety
  • Counsel and educate clients on diet, nutrition, and exercise
  • Chart and track client progress
  • Adjust client personalized plans as goals are reached
  • Follow all health and safety regulations when working with equipment

Personal Trainer Requirement:

  • Certified as a personal trainer
  • First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation training preferred
  • Proven experience working as a personal trainer
  • Excellent social, verbal and written communication skills
  • Impeccable customer service and client focus
  • Strong working knowledge of fitness training and exercises
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about fitness and health
  • Maintain physical fitness levels at all times
  • Physical ability to perform exercises for long periods of time

Criteria for Success

Personal Trainers will be evaluated on their performance the first 60 days of employment and every quarter after. The staff evaluation process consists of a self-evaluation, peer evaluation, and supervisor evaluation. The staff evaluation measures the following objectives:

  • Ability to display a positive attitude for all clients, community and staff.
  • Ability to establish meaningful relationships.
  • Ability to plan and organize to overcome any obstacles.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time and balance professional and personal commitments.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedure, arrive prepared and on time for work and consistently demonstrate service excellence.
  • Ability to maintain personal wellness in making lifelong healthy choices and continuing to learn to meet ones physical, nutritional and emotional needs.
  • Ability to assess a situation and make well informed decisions independently.
  • Ability to positively promote Tailor Made PT and Anytime Fitness to peers and community
  • Ability to modify exercises pertaining to the different fitness levels of all clients.
