POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Maintenance Control Manager will manage and schedule Maintenance Controllers to meet the needs of company operational demands, ensure Maintenance Controllers comply with all Federal Aviation Administration regulations and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures to facilitate real time communication with all AAC departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

1. Reports current department status and any pertinent maintenance activities to Director, Maintenance on a regular basis.

2. Guides coordination of maintenance operational issues; AOG’s, Delays, Mechanical Interruption’s, Scheduled and Un-Scheduled maintenance with the Operation Control Center (OCC), Flight Ops, Flight Control and Traffic Departments.

3. Monitors daily activities within mx control to identify and correct procedural shortcomings

4. Coordinates with Maintenance, Maintenance Production Planning, Stores and QC Inspection/Records, providing current and continuing follow-up to ensure positive corrective action is made as promptly as possible for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance through the maintenance controllers.

5. Monitors controllers activities to ensure the mx control process is adhered to and if a failure is detected follow up to prevent future occurrences

6. Oversees compliance, determines post-maintenance conformity and suitability for operations at outstations,

7. Supervise Administration and control use of Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and Configuration Deviation List (CDL) to ensure flight safety and regulatory compliance.

8. Assist in evaluating reported aircraft discrepancies and develop appropriate repair or recovery plan.

9. Interfaces with all NAC Maintenance Control and other AAC departments to maintain accurate and timely communication

10. Coordinate administrative processes for aircraft ferry permit authorization.

11. Monitor turnover information processes to maintain GMM compliance.

12. Maintains liaison with OEM’s Field service offices.

13. Maintains liaison with OMP’s.

14. Other duties as assigned by Director of Maintenance.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Holds a current FAA Airman’s certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings, at least one year of experience in a position responsible for troubleshooting and returning company airplanes to service and have had acted in a supervisory or relief supervisory capacity within the last 5 years.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as engine oil quantity utilization, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Familiarity with FAR’s, company policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, 5-year background check, 10-year criminal history check and security threat assessment.
  • Valid Hawaii driver’s license and clean abstract upon request.

COMPENSATION:

This position has a starting salary range of $75,660 to $94,580 per year.
