Position Summary:

The shipping manager/inventory clerk will have full accountability for shipping operations and parts/product inventory for the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Shipping Manager:

· Manage shipments of finished goods to meet delivery requirements.

· Manage shipping costs to maintain budgets.

· Create a culture of safety in the work environment.

· Ensure packaging and paperwork comply with all rules and regulations related to shipping Lithium-Ion batteries.

· Handle incoming inspections of raw materials to maintain the quality of products.

· Maintaining communication with the Customer Service department to communicate to the customer of tracking and status of their order.

· Oversee the shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.

· Develop and implement demand planning strategies to optimize inventory levels and meet customer demands.

· Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory, shipments, and order fulfillment.

· Collect and analyze data to identify trends, improve processes, and make informed business decisions.

· Conduct financial analysis to monitor shipping costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize budget allocation.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, resolve issues, and improve overall efficiency.

· Manage relationships with external vendors and carriers to ensure reliable and cost-effective shipping solutions.

· Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in shipping, logistics, and e-commerce.

Inventory Clerk:

· Maintain counts of raw materials used for assembling products and input information on materials into the Fishbowl Inventory program.

· Maintaining communication with the purchasing department whenever parts need to be ordered.

· Maintaining communication with the Engineering department when Bills of Materials are updated.

· Accumulating and distributing raw parts to the production line.

Education and work history:

· High school diploma or GED equivalent.

· Hazmat training for Lithium-Ion Batteries (provided if needed)

· Forklift operation certification (provided if needed)

· Working knowledge of computers, including MS Office applications.

· Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Other skills required:

· Excellent communication skills.

· Excellent time management skills to make sure all responsibilities are performed.

· Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

· Knowledge of demand planning principles and techniques

The work environment is fast-paced, and individuals must be capable of carrying at least 50 lbs of material for an extended period of time. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
