Position Overview:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for directing and engaging employees and Warehouse Supervisors in CJ Logistics America Logistics Center to achieve productivity goals. The Warehouse Manager will manage Warehouse Supervisors and will spend most of the time coaching and leading the operations team to efficiently and safely achieve production and quality goals. The role will collaborate with various CJ Logistics teams on implementing initiatives and
coordinating resources to implement solutions and training.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


Provide Leadership

  • Communicate clear expectations
  • Excite and empower the team
  • Deliver on our promise to employees
  • Collaborate with the Customer Service and Operations Inventory leaders to drive efficiency and consistency

Manage the Workforce Warehouse Supervisors


  • Train Warehouse Supervisors and hold them accountable for performance
  • Ensure Warehouse Supervisors are observing, training and coaching operations employees to drive performance
  • Conduct regular team meetings
  • Walk the floor and create a strong presence in the Logistics Center
  • Provide consistent messaging and communications
  • Lead and engage in site activities and ESG events
  • Hold monthly safety meetings with the safety committee
  • Lead and participate in site management meetings and employee round tables
  • Connect employees to CJ Logistics and the Customer’s business objectives

Deliver Performance (including Safety, Quality, Productivity & Customer Requirements)

  • Implement action plans to deliver results
  • Manage a staffing plan to drive results
  • Review employee & shift performance with Warehouse Supervisors
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement activity
  • Support Warehouse Supervisors efforts to improve operational performance
  • Participate and assist in completion of inventory and quality audits
  • Partner with leadership to coordinate supplies ordering and maintenance schedules

Oversee the Workplace Environment

  • Ensure the building is clean, safe and damage is being addressed and managed
  • Troubleshoot problems and remove obstacles so that Warehouse Supervisors can properly manage their shift
  • Ensure systems are set up appropriately and processes are adhered to, allowing operations employees to be productive
  • Manage the environment to ensure throughput and make the system work

Liaison with Customer Service and Inventory functions

Requirements and Qualifications:

Required

  • Bilingual (Korean/ English)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of experience supervising employees and managing leaders
  • Skills in leadership, organization, communication and cross functional teamwork
  • Understanding of warehousing operations with experience in a distribution and/or manufacturing environment
  • Emphasis on safety is extremely important

Preferred

  • Familiarity with MHE
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems or Red Prairie WMS is a plus
