We are hiring a Warehouse Manager with fulfillment management experience to lead operations of a 500K sq ft warehouse with both e-commerce and industrial customers. This full-time salaried position will report to the Director of Operations and is responsible for achieving safety, quality, productivity, and profitability objectives while assuring our customers receive reliable and cost-effective service.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Govern a large warehouse with a diversity of customer types (e-commerce and industrial).
- Utilize a tier 1 WMS to drive productivity and efficiency.
- Help develop an optimized layout for e-commerce picking and pack stations.
- Oversee team performance and retention, through coaching and ensuring appropriate employee training.
- Hire, onboard, and train new team members, as needed, to ensure staffing levels meet customer demands.
- Successfully execute plans to meet objectives in Safety, Service, Profitability, and Development.
- Partner with internal resources and customers for successful customer account management.
- Manage safety-related actions and documents, inspections, codes, design layouts, and security procedures.
- Coordinate with CN railroad to maximize credits and prevent demurrage.
- Analyze building financial and productivity/efficiency reports to control and manage direct expenses.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge of HAZWOPER and other topics.
- Lead root cause analysis and issue resolution when warehouse problems emerge.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to respond to requests promptly and resolve issues quickly.
- Ability to lead a diverse workforce; effectively develop employees, and communicate objectives.
- Available during non-standard hours, access to a cell phone, and able to respond to after-hour emergencies.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, and technology equipment including WMS and (RF) Scanners.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge to implement warehouse safety and training programs.
- Must be willing to be trained on storing and distributing hazardous materials.
REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum three years of previous leadership and warehouse experience.
- Experience in a fulfillment warehouse preferred.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to use hands and fingers for computer keyboarding, and answer phone calls.
- Ability to communicate via the telephone using speaking and hearing skills.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by the company.
