Position Summary:

The Warehouse Manager will learn and go through an in-depth rotation of all Distribution Center departments and activities while developing a detailed knowledge base of each departments processes, systems, and team members. In addition to learning the day-to-day operation, the role will also be assigned additional projects and tasks that will expose the individual to other areas of the organization. The objective of this position is to advance within the Distribution Center operation.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
  • Conducts financial report analysis and cost control related to Distribution Center operations.
  • Implement detailed schedules to ensure targeted deadlines are met.
  • Accountable for coordinating with various internal departments (i.e., accounting, sales, and marketing) to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Supervises, trains, provides guidance, assigns duties, reviews, and assists team members (in a union environment).
  • Assists staff in completing daily duties in a timely manner as necessary. Duties may include order processing, shipping related tasks, and record keeping.
  • Resolve problems, completes audits, identifies trends, and reports important or otherwise relevant operations information and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures that comply with company and legal regulations.
  • Oversee quality, safety, and certification programs including AIB.
  • Lead weekly and monthly operations meetings.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ideal candidate will have:

  • BS/BA degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or related field.
  • 2-5 years Distribution Center operations experience preferred.
  • Experience working or supervising in a union environment is a plus.
  • Advanced MS Office proficiency.
  • Able to work various shifts to train or backup management when required with overtime as needed.
  • Limited travel may be required.
