Job Description:

As a Warehouse Manager at Collins Communication, you'll play a crucial role in coordinating the procurement cycle of all products or services for Collins Communications Inc. We're looking for individuals who are ready to manage procurement processes, oversee shipping and receiving, and maintain inventory accuracy to ensure smooth operations. The Warehouse Manager will play a critical role in managing inventory levels, optimizing warehouse processes, and ensuring compliance with safety and security standards, including physical security measures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued success of Gillette Internet's operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Edits purchase requests; prepares purchasing and accounting paperwork such as small purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Identifies and resolves potential purchasing problems; follows up to ensure timely and accurate product delivery.
  • Corresponds with suppliers for quotations; maintains contact with vendors regarding the current status of purchase orders.
  • Shipping and receiving: receive incoming materials, supplies, and equipment, and compare information on the packing slip with the purchase order to verify the accuracy of the shipment, inspects shipments, and records damages or defects. Label parts and stock on shelves.
  • Prepares billings for interdepartmental orders as necessary.
  • Maintains files and records of materials, prices, inventories, and deliveries.
  • Ensures adherence to established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety standards.
  • Assists customers with locating and/or ordering products, as appropriate to the position; may compile and disperse catalogs of inventory items and related materials for customer use.
  • Stock inventory on hand and initiate paperwork to purchase additional quantities when necessary.
  • Issue and maintain keys for the company.
  • May lead, guide, and train staff performing related work.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all Company Policies & Procedures, including the Employee Handbook, and enforce all policies within the Purchasing Department.
  • Contact vendors for RMAs, pack and ship all defective parts in a timely manner.
  • Ongoing inventory.
  • Must be able to qualify for safety standards and execute them to the highest level
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Understanding of Accounting Software and procedures including inventory, purchase order, and order entry.
  • Proficient with Windows.
  • Ability to learn new applications quickly.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel to create and edit documentation.
  • Ability to complete routine paperwork.
  • Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Prioritize responsibilities.
  • Expediting skills.
  • Self-Motivated.
  • Customer service-oriented and professional in appearance.
  • Must be willing and able to work after normal business hours with on-call duties.
  • Ability to work alone and be able to evaluate the work completed to assure its quality.

  • Inventory Management: Responsible for meticulously managing an inventory valued at approximately $1 million, ensuring accuracy and availability of essential supplies.
  • Customer Service: Acts as a key liaison, managing relationships both internally and externally, while providing exceptional service and building trust with diverse clientele.
  • Inside Sales: Facilitates seamless transactions within the warehouse, managing orders and assisting customers with their purchases.
  • Team Player: Demonstrates a collaborative spirit by providing support to colleagues across various departments, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
