Warehouse Manager Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
• Review and prepare workflow, personnel and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures
• Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements
• Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
• Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconcile with data storage systems
• Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual warehouse budget, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances
• Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees
• Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
• Improve staff performance by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees

Warehouse Manager Qualifications / Skills:

• Ability to effectively prioritize and delegate work
• Tech-savvy, with experience with ERP software (Epicor / Prophet 21 preferred) and barcode scanning technology
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Understanding of safety rules
• Knowledge of general software and applications

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3 years as a warehouse manager or warehouse lead role managing hourly employees
• OSHA Forklift Certification
• Bilingual (English, Spanish) preferred

This position is based out of pewag’s Bolingbrook headquarters and works first shift Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, with some occasional overtime work outside those hours.
