We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Solar Warehouse Manager to oversee our solar equipment warehouse operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of solar materials and equipment.

Job Summary:

The Solar Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the overall management and supervision of our solar equipment warehouse. This includes overseeing inventory control, optimizing warehouse processes, managing a team of warehouse associates, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of warehouse operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse Operations: Manage day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing solar panels, inverters, racking systems, and related materials.

  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and oversee regular cycle counts and reconciliation. Implement best practices for inventory control and accuracy.

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train warehouse associates. Delegate tasks, set performance goals, and ensure the team operates efficiently and safely.

  • Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve warehouse processes to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs. Implement lean principles and best-in-class warehouse practices.

  • Quality Control: Ensure that all solar equipment meets industry standards and quality requirements. Implement quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections.

  • Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Oversee the arrangement of materials and equipment to maximize space utilization.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate routine maintenance checks on warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, and manage any necessary repairs.

  • Shipping and Receiving: Oversee outbound shipments to installation sites, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries. Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.

  • Safety Compliance: Enforce all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety training for warehouse staff.

  • Reporting: Generate reports on inventory levels, warehouse performance, and safety metrics. Provide regular updates to the operations team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field (preferred).

  • Previous experience in warehouse management, ideally in the solar or renewable energy industry.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Proficiency in warehouse management software and inventory tracking systems.

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, often in excess of 50 pounds.

  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Knowledge of safety procedures and commitment to following them.

Salary: $50-55k/year

Sign-on Bonus:

  • We are pleased to offer you a Sign-On Bonus of $2,000 as part of your employment package. This bonus is structured as follows:

  • An initial payment of $1,000 will be paid to you on the payroll date following the completion of 45 days of continuous and satisfactory employment from your start date.

  • A subsequent payment of $1,000 will be paid to you on the payroll date following the completion of 90 days of continuous and satisfactory employment from your start date.

  • Please note that this bonus is subject to applicable taxes and withholdings as per federal and state laws.
