Duties and Responsibilities

· Operate commercial vehicles, box trucks.

· Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is properly secured to prevent damage during transit.

· Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe driving practices.

· Load & transfer freight between buildings within the company.

· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly, maintain clean and organize trucks, inside and out, perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks.

· Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations of the road.

· Communicate effectively with customers, internal customers and vendors.

· Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo as needed and ensure accurate counting and inspection of freight.

· Handle paperwork and documentation associated with shipments, including bills of lading and delivery confirmations.

· Operate equipment such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to facilitate the loading and unloading process.

· Assist shipping & receiving with daily tasks such as packing, material handling, counting, picking orders, loading & unloading freight from straight and semi-trucks.

· Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with customers and vendors.

· Follow company policies and procedures related to driver safety, performance, and conduct.

Requirements and Qualifications

· Valid Commercial Driver's License (at least a Class C).

· Minimum of [5] years of experience as a CDL truck driver.

· Clean driving record with no history of major accidents or traffic violations.

· Knowledge of and adherence to all federal and state transportation regulations.

· Ability to operate and maintain commercial vehicles safely and effectively.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for managing paperwork and logs.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with supervisor, customers, and team members.

· Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy cargo as needed.

· Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules.

· Commitment to safety, both for oneself and others on the road.

· Professional and customer-oriented attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
