Hours per day: 11.5 or as assigned

Rotation: 3x3 or as assigned

Purpose of Position:

Operating Vac-Truck, Refuse Truck, Water Truck or any ICE company vehicle that requires a Commercial Driver License Class B or better with airbrakes endorsement.

Educational Requirements:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.

Experience and Background:

  • Minimum three years driving heavy duty trucks (Class A or B with air brakes).
  • Team player with good customer service, communication skills and safe work ethics.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (oral and written), able to follow instructions and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Loader experience; able to unload shipments and remove snow in confined areas.

Certificates, Licenses and Requirements:

  • Valid Commercial Driver License that meets ICE Services insurance criteria.
  • Commercial Driver License Class B or better with air brakes endorsement.
  • North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) preferred, not required.
  • Rotational schedule of at least 11.50 hours per day for a minimum of 21 days consecutively as required.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds on regular basis and perform routine walking, standing and bending. There is a lack of immediate access to critical medical services, as well as urban community services.
  • Must pass a pre-hire drug test, breath alcohol test, occupational fitness test, computer-based testing, background check, DOT record check and motor vehicle record check.

Essential Functions:

  • Be willing to attend training and drive a Class B vehicle and work in the field under adverse arctic conditions in remote areas.
  • Possess organizational and housekeeping skills to maintain daily driver’s logs/sheets and keep equipment clean and safe to operate.
  • Assist in other work areas/tasks as required.
