Training Specialist, Learning and Talent Development (Remote)

PosiGen is searching for a Training Specialist, to be responsible for developing, delivering, scheduling, and program-managing role-focused curricula for PosiGen's direct business and Channel Partner network; on company products, sales strategies, operations processes and procedures, competition, software, leadership development, manager training, and related topic areas. This role requires vision and execution chops. Many have one or the other, we need both. This includes managing stakeholder expectations and communications as well as quality and fiscal awareness. This is a highly visible position with exposure to PosiGen's entire business and Channel Partner network. It will require significant multi-tasking and willingness to take on various learning, development, training, and support responsibilities.

This position is open to remote candidates legally authorized to work in the United States and residing in the following states: AZ, CA, CT, DC, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, LA, MA, MD, MA, MI, MS, NC, NH, NJ, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, & VA.

Responsibilities

  • Runs weekly webinars, and in-person training, as well as spend approximately 30-60% of your time physically working with and coaching teams in the field.
  • Consult with Sr. Manager/Manager, Learning and Development, and support PosiGen business leaders to ensure appropriate learning and development needs are being met.
  • Collaborates with PosiGen Direct and Channel Partner leadership and stakeholders on overall L&D initiatives, training plans, strategies, and alignments to ensure full adoption of training programs, and educational initiatives, and track progress.
  • Discovers and aids in the designing of eLearning and training content, tools, and assessments for knowledge transfer and ongoing development.
  • Performs individual coaching sessions or ride-a-longs to evaluate and guide processes, when coaching direct or channel sales professionals.
  • Analyze data to identify the problem(s) and come up with solutions.
  • Drives adoption and full utilization of program tools, incentives, and initiatives.
  • Creates and follows service-level agreements with leadership teams, from various departments.
  • Sets performance goals, measures results, and reports metrics via SFDC, Tableau, Looker, etc.
  • Creates training objectives and metrics to assess if objectives are met.
  • Effectively manages own deadlines and completes multiple projects.
  • Showcases our sales and sales ops process from lead generations to PTO (and beyond) and can transfer that knowledge to the appropriate audience.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Training, Organizational Development, or similar disciplines is preferred
  • 4 years of experience in sales, learning and development, sales training, and sales enablement, with a focus on B2B, B2C field sales, channel sales, or inside sales
  • Proven ability to facilitate virtual and live instructor-led sales training (on products, processes, or skills-related training topics) using Zoom, MS Teams, or Google Meet platforms
  • Personality, confidence, and polish to engage upstream with executives, downstream with the individual contributors, and across business units with Legal, Marketing, Product, Dealer Support Desk, Project Coordinators, Business Development Sales Teams, and other groups within the company. Requires the ability to influence and gain acceptance from others on L&D matters and training initiatives
  • Someone who blends technical aptitude with business savvy and has demonstrated success managing complex projects from start to finish.
  • Experience with Direct/Channel training and L&D initiatives.
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office, gSuite, and preferably some CRM experience, including the ability to create and run reports.
  • SFDC experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish (conversational, business, written) preferred
  • Quota-carrying sales experience is a plus

  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and have an acceptable driving record.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Proactive and self-directed: Must be able to define and scope new initiatives with minimal guidance based on field input and relevant field data.
  • Dynamic and proven presentation and written communication skills are a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with direct customer contact experience.

Working Conditions

  • Open-office environment at HQ, Remote-office environment if remote.
  • 25-30% travel required, as needed, to HQ or remote Direct or Channel Partner sites. Note: PosiGen HQ is based in St. Rose, LA, but qualified applicants may work remotely, and relocation to LA is not required.
  • Driving Required while visiting sales offices and branches.

  • Ability to perform normal office duties and remote work capacities
  • Ability to operate office equipment including computers and determine the accuracy of work
  • Ability to interact with co-workers and participate in meetings
  • Ability to interact with Direct and Channel Partner Sales and Operations personnel and participate in meetings
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely, according to local and state laws
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
