The Resort at Paws Up is seeking to add a Training Manager to our team. The role of the Training Manager is responsible for identifying and assessing training needs, creating tailored training plans, and implementing various training methods to enhance team members’ skills and performance. They monitor training program effectiveness, stay updated on training trends, and proactively reach out to leaders across the resort to look for areas of continuous improvement.

The Primary Functions are:

  • Get to know The Resort at Paws Up operations, policies and procedures and build effective and impactful training to support business demands.
  • Conduct training sessions – In-person when appropriate, or as online learning courses
  • Manage all facets of the Absorb Learning Management System. This includes: Guiding the user experience, troubleshooting technical issues, assigning relevant learning content, & reporting on results as needed to leadership.
  • Create and maintain an annual calendar of in-person and online trainings and project manage the execution of the trainings accordingly.
  • Proactively work with leaders across the Resort to identify opportunities for training at the team level.
  • Collaborate closely with the People & Culture team to ensure that training material always contains accurate information and is delivered to the right people at the right time – This includes New Team Member Orientation and New Manager Curriculum.
  • Monitor the training programs to assess if they’re effective in reaching the goal and adapt as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends in learning and development and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Modify existing training courses with new or updated information as needed.
  • Take on special projects as needed & look for continuous improvement of department processes.

Looking for Team Members with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, communications, instructional design, or another relevant field preferred
  • Proven track record of implementing successful training programs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams & other platforms
  • 1+ year working within a Learning Management System (LMS) software (preferred)
  • Experience with ADP or other HRIS system (preferred)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience and comfortability in leading in-person and online training sessions
  • Valid State Driver’s License
