Work Days and Expected Hours:
Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
(Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department).
Function: Designs, develops, and conducts training, and supports the development of ongoing "on the job" training of departmental employees to ensure that they are properly trained and capable of performing their positions at a fully functional level. Assist with other enterprise-wide organizational development projects including career pathing, employee relations, and development programs. Reviews existing training programs and suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of clientele, the organization, or the industry. Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Designs and supports the implementation of lesson plans, materials, and manuals to support all enterprise-wide training and others as deemed necessary for effective:
    • Supports operational refreshers with corresponding departments.
    • BVS System e-learning modules
    • Security, Regulatory, and Compliance Training
    • Product Knowledge & Department Training
    • Assists with Leadership Training: Speed of Trust, Stellar, and Emerging Leader
    • System training, including NET, IBS Training, Workday (HRIS), etc.
    • Our Shared Future and Service Quality
  • Assist with and provides oversight to the Corporate Training Plan.
  • Designs, develops, and coordinates bank-wide training sessions on all established transactions, compliance and security, fraud policies and procedures, operations, and customer service skills for all appropriate employees.
  • Coordinates and conducts department visits and discussions as needed for additional training for new and seasoned employees for observation, coaching on new skills, assistance with disciplinary actions, performance correction notices, etc.
  • Coordinates with all Departmental managers (and others as needed) regarding scheduling, and logistics for personnel assigned to participate in a training program.
  • Develops job training aids, manuals, and other development tools for new initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, new departments, etc. Participates in the training of all Department related training for new employees as a result of mergers.
  • Stays abreast of latest Bank procedures, policies, compliance, security, products and services, and operations by attending/participating in various workshops, meetings, etc., to support current training accurately, effectively, and proactively as well as future initiatives.
  • Assists with the creation of BVS courses, assigning and verifying BVS assignments.
  • Act as a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for designed departments.
  • Works closely with departments to ensure timely updates to all written procedures, training manuals and job aids.
  • Offers recommendations regarding additional training, coaching and retention for department employees at the Bank.
  • Assists with the development, refinement, and updates of training as needed, working with compliance and legal experts as well as the heads of various departments within the Bank.
  • Assist with reviewing and collecting information for audits and verifying documentation.
  • Maintains a good working relationship with all bank employees. Demonstrates the ability to work independently. Works as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn the organization.
  • Assumes other duties and responsibilities as needed.
Physical Demands
Operates a keypad device 70% of the day; operates electronic equipment 15% of the day; operates office equipment 15% of the day. Maximum lift is 50 lbs., one time per day. Physical demands differ each day depending on training demands. Some moving of machines, tables and other materials frequently. Requires the use of manual dexterity skills for typing and data entry up to 50% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18”-20” for computer work and travel. Must maintain a valid driver’s license. Moves training equipment, tables, chairs, etc. as needed to conduct training sessions. Must be able to lift 40 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions of the position. Travel is required for this position. Onsite (at various locations, required 80% of the time), some hybrid work.
Education
Requires a four-year degree or equivalent, plus specialized training, specifically instructional design and education background. Training certification preferred.
Experience
Requires ten years of general experience. Additional specialized experience of five years, including the management and supervision of employees and a full understanding of the banking industry and training plan design.

Salary Range:
$48,000.00 - $100,000.00
