Overview:
The Manager of Total Rewards for Cedar Fair will partner with compensation analysts and benefits specialists to lead our efforts in designing, refining, implementing, and managing comprehensive total rewards programs. Located in Charlotte or Sandusky, This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in benefits and ideally, compensation, who can collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment with our organizational objectives and values. The incumbent will report directly to the Director of Total Rewards. This is a senior-level individual contributor role.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a long-term total rewards strategy that attracts, retains, and motivates top talent while ensuring competitiveness in the market.
  • Oversee the administration and strategy of employee benefits programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and other ancillary benefits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with employee needs.
  • Manage annual open enrollment process.
  • Manage vendor relationships with external partners, including benefits providers and consultants, to optimize service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Partner with health insurance consultants and third-party vendors.
  • Oversees the leave management programs, process, and benefits including vendor relationships for disability, FMLA, Workers Compensation, and COBRA.
  • Collaborate with Comp Analysts on the redesign, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, including base pay, variable pay, equity incentives, and recognition programs working with external vendors as needed.
  • Partner with HR leadership to conduct regular market analysis and benchmarking to inform compensation and benefits decisions.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation related to compensation and benefits, ensuring consistency and compliance across the organization.
  • Lead the annual compensation planning process which includes merit increases, bonuses, and long-term incentive awards.
  • Prepare and submit state and federal audits as it relates to compensation and benefits.
  • Partner with the broader People team to develop job family architectures, career frameworks, leveling and associated rewards structures.
  • Perform related duties as requested.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in total rewards, benefits and compensation
  • Dayforce experience is a strong plus
  • Understanding of compensation principles, market trends, and regulatory requirements, with experience in developing and implementing innovative total rewards strategies.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive informed decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
