Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adheres to all environmental, health and safety SOP's, equipment, policies and procedures, including any department specific requirements.
  • Maintains a mindset that all accidents can be prevented and works pro-actively to achieve zero harm in the workplace.
  • Follows defined Quality Management Systems, all applicable procedures, reviews maintenance records, and completes all documentation as required.
  • Maintains a continuous flow of the servicing line and works independently and as a part of a team to achieve process yield results.
  • Examines, tests, repairs and performs troubleshooting of medical devices to assignable cause using instruments such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, hipot tester, pressure gauges.
  • Applies technical knowledge to interpret information, test for accuracy, discern patterns in order to determine a root cause.
  • Writes clear and concise technical evaluation summaries resulting from troubleshooting analysis.
  • May rotate into the repair and test areas as needed.
  • May perform inspection duties as required per required procedures.
  • May train employees on an as needed basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to follow work instructions is required.
  • Ability to work well together and independently and as a part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Proficient computer skills required to enter data, navigate, and routinely toggle between various applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, and company software programs in the area of expertise are required.
  • Ability to work independently to effectively determine root cause of failure.
  • Ability to perform basic statistical analysis from device history logs, read diagrams and drawings and make repair recommendations.
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports to sufficiently capture and defend evaluation findings.
  • Must be able to wear applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas as required including safety glasses at all times.
  • Ability to sit and or stand for long periods of time with frequent walking, stooping, reaching, grasping and using fine & gross motor manipulation.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30lbs on a routine basis and occasionally up to 41lbs.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Associates degree or equivalent technical certification required; and 1+ years of experience in troubleshooting and analyzing electro-mechanical devices required.
OR High School diploma or GED required; and 3+ or more years of experience in troubleshooting and analyzing electro-mechanical devices is required.
Medical device experience or other regulated industry preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire

Pay: Up to $22.05 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
