Position Summary

The Talent & Culture Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the HR function within the hotel. This role involves strategic planning, policy development, employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, training and development, and compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.


The Company operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week.


Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding.

Employee Relations:

  • Foster positive employee relations and address employee concerns.
  • Implement policies and procedures to maintain a healthy work environment.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.
  • Implement strategies to enhance employee skills and career growth.

Performance Management:

  • Oversee performance appraisal processes and provide guidance on performance improvement.
  • Develop and implement performance management systems.

Culture Development:

  • Contribute to the development and promotion of the company's culture.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on HR best practices and legal requirements.

Benefits Administration:

  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to benefit offerings.

Employee Communication:

  • Facilitate effective communication between employees and management.
  • Implement communication strategies to keep employees informed.


Fundamental Requirements:

  • Experience managing talent management and employee engagement projects and programs
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including verbal and written presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills, follow through and demonstrated leadership
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Team oriented and works well in a collaborative environment
  • Technically savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS preferably Paychex
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills and relationship building skills
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, persuasive, competitive and out going personality


Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS Degree in Human Resources or relevant field or equivalent preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in a progressive Human Resources role
  • Experience in the hospitality industry preferred
