Manufacturing company is looking to hire a Supply Chain - Warehousing Leader for their new key manufacturing site in Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will possess experience continuously driving improvements in the materials -warehousing planning function to minimize inventory, eliminate part outages and minimize overall logistics costs to the organization. Experience in developing a highly effective materials-warehouse organization, standardize planning processes, improve material flow within the plant and manage suppliers to improve customer service and reduce lead time.

  • Lead all internal materials management activties
  • Communicate with operations on shortages, anticipated shortages, expediting status etc.
  • Provide guidance to direct reports on ordering model parameters, quotes files, safety stock to optimize inventory levels
  • Knowledge and application of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes
  • Lead and manage the annual physical inventory process
  • Communicate with buyers on issues relating to supplier performance: billing, receiving and quality
  • Meet new product introduction objectives (timing, quality, systems set up)
  • Perform various materials related projects and analysis as assigned
  • Support the corporate inventory and turn intiative
  • Participates as a member of the operations team in making cross-functional operational decisions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Process Engineering and Quality to achieve cost reduction targets.

Qualifications:

  • BS is required, prefer a degree in supply chain or logistics
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain-warehouse functions
  • Experience with integrated materials/production systems such MRP, ERP or JDE
  • Strong initiative and drive to resolve problems and implement process improvements
  • Candidates must possess supervisory experience
  • Strong analytical skills including ability to leverage metrics and other tools to drive supplier performance.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); advanced Excel and system skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • LEAN experience strongly desired.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
